Wow. Wow. WOW
Sep. 7th, 2006 06:17 pmApparently Rain is coming to do a concert in Las Vegas as part of a world tour.
Oh.
My.
God.
Ohmygod ohmygod ohmygod OHMYGOD.
I am reduced to a spastic, shrieking 10 year old.
And I don't frelling care.
Am I insane (waits for the chorus of 'duhs') because I am definitely going as soon as I find out when this is and if I can get tickets?
Though how I sell this to Mr. Mousie, I have no idea. (Though actually, as long as I don't drag him with me, Mr. Mousie will not mind. Previous experience with my going to a Shahrukh Khan concert (good practice for being the white person sticking out in the crowd :P) which he found cool and amusing though with no interest in attending for himself, is quite indicative).
Whatever.
My brain is scrambled and I am off to run around like a looney.
SCREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Date: 2006-09-07 11:10 pm (UTC)My sister and I saw F4 in concert once in San Francisco and we were like, "I wonder who else will know about this besides us little Asian girls," and dude. I never realized they had such a huge American fanbase. (Of course, "huge" is a relative term--I wasn't expecting to see anyone who wasn't Asian, so when I did, it made an impression.)
You'd better hurry if you want tickets, though--I heard his concert at Madison Square Garden a couple of years ago sold out in a day or so.

Date: 2006-09-08 12:22 am (UTC)Heeeeee, well, at least I tried to suppress inner fangirl, if unsuccessfully :P
I am used to being the only (or one of few) white people for things. I am a Bollywood lover and always get stared at when I go to Bollywood theaters. People are very sweet, even if they always ask if I am married to an Indian and when I say no, they sometimes call their families over to look at the weird white girl who likes Indian flicks :)
And that was sort of the thing at the Shahrukh Khan concert too :)

I know! I don't think the time is scheduled yet and the tickets better not go on sale when I am in Japan because tantrums of gigantic proportions will follow!

Date: 2006-09-08 12:46 am (UTC)And yeah, my sis and I are fans, but it was still ridiculously funny to watch Vanness do his best Justin Timberlake, as he attempted a rousing performance of "Like I Love You" (complete with BEAT BOXING--YES, BEAT BOXING).

Date: 2006-09-08 05:02 am (UTC)You could consider it a sociological experient. And he is a really good dancer and so it's sort of like Bollywood. Only with less bhangra :P
