Apparently Rain is coming to do a concert in Las Vegas as part of a world tour.

Oh.

My.

God.

Ohmygod ohmygod ohmygod OHMYGOD.

I am reduced to a spastic, shrieking 10 year old.

And I don't frelling care.

Am I insane (waits for the chorus of 'duhs') because I am definitely going as soon as I find out when this is and if I can get tickets?

Though how I sell this to Mr. Mousie, I have no idea. (Though actually, as long as I don't drag him with me, Mr. Mousie will not mind. Previous experience with my going to a Shahrukh Khan concert (good practice for being the white person sticking out in the crowd :P) which he found cool and amusing though with no interest in attending for himself, is quite indicative).

Whatever.

My brain is scrambled and I am off to run around like a looney.

SCREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ooh this is almost enough to get me to go to the US again after I said I wasn't going because the immigration folks were just too over zealous (loads of brits (white anglo saxon folk) were getting locked up and deported for no reason when they arrived off uk flights and the embassy coudn't do anything).

On the plus side if I managed to survive immigration I could stand there and be the only black person in the crowd. Also Vegas is a fun town and it is easy to get free stuff.

Well Las Vegas is a great place to go on vacation, and with all the deals available it can be done relatively inexpensively. Try www.lasvegas.com to see what deals are available.I would also try expedia.com and orbitz.

We have stayed in Excaliber, its on the strip and with it being an older Hotel, you might be able to find a deal.

I know.

My sister and I saw F4 in concert once in San Francisco and we were like, "I wonder who else will know about this besides us little Asian girls," and dude. I never realized they had such a huge American fanbase. (Of course, "huge" is a relative term--I wasn't expecting to see anyone who wasn't Asian, so when I did, it made an impression.)

You'd better hurry if you want tickets, though--I heard his concert at Madison Square Garden a couple of years ago sold out in a day or so.

Rain is...well, imagine if Justin Timberlake and Usher became melded into a single Asian person. Who sang, danced, modeled, hosted variety shows, and occasionally stars in TV dramas, portraying characters so charming, but so haunted, that you can't help but squee, "OTP! OTP!" every time the show comes on.

Yes.

Heeeee. I'd love to see an F4 concert not because I love their music (it's OK but I am not screaming over it) but because it would be an interesting sociological experiment as to whether they are just as hot in person as they are on screen :P

Heeeeee, well, at least I tried to suppress inner fangirl, if unsuccessfully :P

I am used to being the only (or one of few) white people for things. I am a Bollywood lover and always get stared at when I go to Bollywood theaters. People are very sweet, even if they always ask if I am married to an Indian and when I say no, they sometimes call their families over to look at the weird white girl who likes Indian flicks :)

And that was sort of the thing at the Shahrukh Khan concert too :)

--I heard his concert at Madison Square Garden a couple of years ago sold out in a day or so.

I know! I don't think the time is scheduled yet and the tickets better not go on sale when I am in Japan because tantrums of gigantic proportions will follow!

What [livejournal.com profile] kitsune714 said.

If you've seen me hyperventilating over 'Full House' or 'A Love to Kill' or 'Sang-Doo, let's go to school,' it's him.

Heeeee. You should come and visit. Yeah, our immigration folks are weird and getting weirder by the second.

But on the other hand, Rain!!!

And if we met up, I'd buy you lunch :)

My pleasure, Las Vegas is a great place to vacation , gambiling not required. Between the shows, both free and those you pay for ( I recommed Cirque De Solei -O ), the shopping and the dinning you can spend three-four days there, not gamble a nickle and still have a blast.

Oh, totally--my sister and I didn't exactly go to that F4 concert because of their, uh, inherent musical talents.

And yeah, my sis and I are fans, but it was still ridiculously funny to watch Vanness do his best Justin Timberlake, as he attempted a rousing performance of "Like I Love You" (complete with BEAT BOXING--YES, BEAT BOXING).

I am half-tempted to go, though I know nothing about Rain, because it's only an hour's flight for me... After all, if I'm going there for Frozen Fury in a few weeks I'll go there for anything...

You totally should *acts as devil's tempter*

You could consider it a sociological experient. And he is a really good dancer and so it's sort of like Bollywood. Only with less bhangra :P

So in case I was thinking about it, when is it on? Just for informational purposes. But I doubt I can convince anyone to come with me. Or ever admit going... Now SRK is a different thing altogether.

SRK=Shahrukh Khan, Bollywood (India) superstar. He and a bunch of other Bolly actors came on tour in the US (and elsewhere) last year for a bunch of concerts as most BW actors are really food dancers as they have to dance a lot in BW movies. SRK is really really good at dancing. I went to a concert and had a blast.
