Nonspoilery thought on ROTS trailer

dangermousieThe blitz has started. They are showing a trailer every few minutes it would seem.
I do find it rather amusing that the tone of the trailer is so optimistic. If I knew nothing about SW, I'd think: There is every hope the Jedi will win. And Anakin is a hero! And good will triumph! Surely there isn't anyone in the world who doesn't know how ROTS ends: with the hero fallen, the Jedi killed and the Republic destroyed. But I guess they don't want to stress that this trailer is for a tragedy...

Date: 2005-04-23 04:45 am (UTC)What shows are you watching? I haven't seen any ROTS ads on t.v. in a couple of weeks and that was only on ratings heavy hitters like American Idol and Lost.

Date: 2005-04-23 05:07 am (UTC)But yeah, it does have the old time feel, but the sheer cheeriness of it is so misplaced! I'd pity anyone who'd go in expecting pulpy HEA based on this trailer (but then what rock did they stay under? :))
