I've watched the second ep of Silence, and it's official, I am a goner. Of course, since only two have subs so far, I am also out of luck, but that's a separate matter.

I admit to getting really edgy about when they find out the other is his/her childhood OTP. They keep having these near misses. I also think his fiancee should rethink the engagement. If a guy says 'never mind then' when you say 'at least ask me properly [for my hand in marriage],' he is probably not enthused. Wei Yi seems to be horribly overworked (I love how his sitting in his pristine office was contrasted with the family bday party going on at Shen Shen's place). But it seems SS can get him to have fun anyway: he really acts a lot more his age when he is with her. I totally adore her, she is warm and funny and just adorable. Oh, and I love that he went running, pellmell, after who he thought was his childhood OTP. Cute boys running in suits to catch up with love? Perfect.

But anyway, this is not the point of the post. The point of the post that I went looking for picspam and have been abundantly successful. And so there is much prettiness behind the cut.

Actually, compared to a lot ofclothes out there, these are (scarily)not too bad. I think I am getting assimilated to the fashion style becauseinstead of running away in horror, I merely pause a bit :P

Heeee. I keep thinking the best friend guy looks like Jimmy Fallon. He is no beauty contest winner but I don't think he's unattractive enough to be Mike Myers :) Ahhhh, sucks to be male best friend in one of those things, so might as well not be gorgeous :)

The moral of the story: if your love rival is arrogant, be-suited and hot, not to mention a childhood love of the girl you adore, then you might as well be Jimmy Fallon/Mike Myers hybid because you are not about to get any lovin' anyhow :P

It does not pay to be the good-hearted best friend in these shows does it?

Nope. Look at Meteor Garden. Remember that good hearted noveau riche friend of Shan Cai's? Yup, he ended up single. Or Da Ye in Mars. Things worked out for him girlfriend-wise, but he never got anywhere near Qi Luo. And here, it looks like the heroine looks at what's his name as a brother (being shallow, if I had to pick between a Mike Myers look-a-like or a prettyboy Vic Chou in suits, I am afraid a good heart and brotherly support would sort of lose their claim on me too, but...). And manga has the same thing. Peach Girl is actually very unsual in that the coolest male character and the one who ends up with the heroine is the one she initially makes good friends with. But then they aren't childhood friends :P
