I have a bazillion pictures from my trip to Spain this May (I am photography nut who took 1200 pictures in 2 weeks). If anyone has any interest, I'll put them up. For some reason, today, I keep remembering the day we tried to go to the bullfight in Madrid. The huge colosseum area was FULL. There were vendors and enormous crowds, posters, and excitement, and all tickets were sold out. (So we couldn't go). Not that many women though...

The shippers on One Tree Hill id their ships by smooshing the names of the couple together (i.e. Nathan/Haley becomes "Naley.") By that happy logic the Peyton/Lucas shippers should abbreviate their ship as "Pucas." Or, even better, since Lucas is often known as Luke, the ship is "puke." This makes me strangely happy.

On the Veronica Mars front I just realized that whatever anyone else's views on Veronica/Duncan, Keith must love it. Just look at it from his point of view: his sweet, nice daughter dates nice Duncan Kane. Then the Lilly murder happens and everything goes to hell. The new Veronica goes out with a guy who is entirely too smooth and proves to be a drug dealer. Then she dates a Deputy who is almost three years older than her (and at 17, it's a big deal). She also has a local gang leader over to the house to "tutor" him (we know she isn't dating Weevil, but I can tell how it looks to Keith). She caps off the year by dating (secretly) a guy she believes is capable of murder, whose father turns out to be a psycho killer, and who gets taken in for a supposed (and different) murder. After all of this, she ends up going back to the nice Duncan, and I am sure Keith breathes a sign of relief. Seriously, Keith must love Duncan.

But Duncan, as Duncan, is better than the rest. He ain't perfect boyfriend (because of Jake), but considering that his competition are:

a. drug dealer
b. gang leader
c. older guy cradle robbing
d. accused murderer son of real murderer

Hmmm, yes and no. Keith also suspected Duncan of murder at one point, just like Veronica did. I agree with everything else, though. He's certainly (with the exception of Wallace) the nicest guy in Veronica's orbit.

And I'm interested in the photos. Yes, yes.

I think the suspect of murder thing won't bother him much. If the only thing against Logan was that he was a suspected Lilly killer, I doubt Keith would have a problem with it.

Awww, Deputy Whathisname isn't that old. Didn't he and Keith bust that serial killer guy together? Or was that the other sheriff guy?

I tend to think that Keith is probably rather indifferent to Veronica's boyfriends unless he gets the impression that things are getting too serious. If Duncan is the perfect boyfriend then it's most likely because they relationship currently seems to be pretty mellow.

Still think that the Kane/09er connection makes him less than "the bestest boyfriend eva" for Veronica in his eyes.

Nope, that was him and Lamb (I think).

I tend to think that Keith is probably rather indifferent to Veronica's boyfriends unless he gets the impression that things are getting too serious.

Serial killer was busted by Deputy Leo and Keith...

In "Silence of the Lamb" Keith freaked out (because serial killer was still loose) and tracked Veronica via her cellphone to Leo's band playing. He asked one of the other band members to follow Veronica home (to make sure she arrived safely) and then he asked Leo if he had his gun, and the two went back to the guitar store.

Leo is 27 months older than Veronica according to their conversation at the beginning of "Hot Dogs."

I wasn't too interested in that ep it had no Logan, because I so marathoned they kinda blend.

Leo was very nice, but not too complex. Personally, I think Veronica needs a boyfriend who won't be a doormat and who'll stand up to her. She hasn't had that at all yet: Troy (because of having to put on a facade) was always "perfect," Duncan won't push (or push back) if his life depended on it, she could twist Leo around her little finger (and did), and Logan, while he has a very strong personality and the potential to really dig in and stand up to her, because of his dependency issues and fear of abandonment, so far would let her do anything to him. That's not good.

I don't know, Keith just never struck me the guy who would settle for less. If he doesn't like somebody he doesn't like somebody and I don't think that "less bad than the others" would really be a good enough argument for him to change his opinion.

...and they're back at Trufflehunter's store, which is closed on the weekends. Keith notes that that fits with the killer's MO of holding the girls for forty-eight hours. He tells Leo to keep a lookout for the guy, and breaks in. Not so much with the warrant now, but I believe it's unnecessary if the cop has sufficient cause to think a crime is in progress. Inside, Keith busts into the studio. He crashes into a cymbal, which is obviously going to alert Trufflehunter, if he's there. Keith hears the girl's voice coming from a small kegerator. Hard to believe something so good could be used for such evil. Keith's attention is totally focused on breaking the lock on the kegerator with a crowbar. That would be sloppy police work even if Trufflehunter wasn't coming down the stairs in the background. Keith gets the girl out, but when her eyes focus behind Keith, she screams. Keith turns, and Trufflehunter is about to hit him with a heavy weapon of his own, but Leo comes out of nowhere and tackles Trufflehunter to the ground. Trufflehunter grips Leo's throat, but Keith draws his gun, and it's all over. Except for the part where Keith just gained a future son-in-law.

Veronica is a teenager and I am sure he comforts himself by the fact that it's extremely unlikely any of her current relationships are forever.

I do think, after 2.01, if Veronica and Logan ever get back together, Keith is going to be livid.

Like I said, I totally buy him hating her being with Logan more. I just don't think that that fact would stop him from disliking any of her other boyfriends (including Duncan) if he happens to feel that way.

I don't think that he is handing out free passes to the others just because of Logan.

I'd love to see the photos. I've only been to Madrid and Barcelona - fell in love with the Antoni Gaudi stuff then ;)

Oh yeah, the Gaudi stuff is amazing. We went to the house he designed and the Cathedral...wow.
