Better Late Than Never: Veronica Mars thoughts

Yes, I finally watched Wallace and Rashard go to White Castle

Not bad. Miles and miles above the horror of the last two episodes. Duncan's departure really worked wonders, as not only is Veronica snapping out of her robotic haze, but the story doesn't have to stop dead to accomodate the soap or Veronica's cooing. I like her when she is single. This show, after all, is not "The Loves of Veronica Mars." I hope she stays single for the foreseeable future. I don't want her with Duncan, Logan, or little green men. The most I want is for her and Logan to keep up their friendly sniping. (I must confess I am off the L/V ship. If they get back together again, fine. If not, I don't care. I can't be invested in a ship where neither of the participants is super-invested at all. They aren't pining, why should I?)



Weevil! That was certainly not a surprise that the whole gang was behind Thumper. Face it, dealing drugs is more lucrative than whatever it is Weevil had the gang doing (what was it, anyway?) and people who join gangs are not just usually in it for the pleasures of society. I loved seeing Weevil on the bus. Awwww. Can he eat lunch at the outcasts' table with Veronica and Wallace now?

So, let me get this straight. Did Thumper as much as admit that he is the one who killed Felix on the bridge? Let's see. Thumper kills Felix because Felix was objecting to the take-over. The Fitzpatricks want to throw off the scent/oblige Thumper so they get Plastic Doc to be the fake witness against Logan, right? Which is great for me because it solves the mystery, but sucks for Logan who still has to clear his name.

Great to see Cliff again! They should make him a regular. And poor Felix and Molly, they had a West Side Story love affair going. Awwww.

And the bus mystery progresses. Did the Mayor do it? Why did Terrence Cook know the journalism teacher (though this early on, the latter is bound to be a red herring). And how is Curly tied to this and why was Weevil beating on him?

More evidence that Big Dick was a horrible father. When Cassidy tells Lamb that no, he's never been to the mechanic's, though daddy used to take Dick because cars are a "man's business?" That's horrible. The worst father of the year contest in Neptune is a really hard one. Though Aaron still wins, of course.

Jackie, I don't hate you any more, as long as you are not on my screen for too long. But what's with the lip gloss? There is more lip gloss on that girl's mouth than there is on the mouths of all the rest of the women in California put together. It's like she is trying to achieve a collagen effect without implants. Yikes.

I've really liked all the episodes so far, mainly because i downloaded them all on Wednesday and didnt move from my couch all day Thursday, so i havent really had a break from it, to judge which episodes were good and what not.

Weevil, i just love the dude, he's so bad ass in such a good way. Cant wait to see what he's going to do without the PCH-ers. Should be interesting, esp. with the video footage of him.

Have to say i was so shocked when Meg died, didnt for the life of me see that coming, and i really enjoyed Donut Run, nice to see how Veroncia handles life without the man she loves.

I am however eager for things to start coming together, i need more focus on the Bus Crash, so it was interesting as to where Terence Cook fits into all of this....

Jackie...meh...dunno what to feel about her....Cant make up my mind.

I am a spoiler whore so I knew about Meg dying and Donut and Veronica consipring against the FBI.

I guess it really makes a difference when you watch them in a batch. I did see all of S1 in 3 or 4 days and had way too much fun.

Yes, glad to see they are focusing on the bus crash.

I think Weevil stated an episode ago that he stold cars when he was talking to Sean. The whole "I steal cars, you sell drugs" connection thing. So shady, yes but not drugs. Although I think them not dealing drugs had more to do with the fact that they would have had to go through the FF to get them and seeing how they killed off the original leader of the gang for 'expanding his terrority' (which i assumed meant becoming the new dealer for the HS) they decided against it.

And I want to see Weevil with Veronica and Wallace at lunch. Cause Wallace and Weevil eating lunch together? It would be classic.

So I guess Thumper found a way to work the drug racket with the Fitzpatricks (most likely by letting them be the boss) and since it seems to be more lucrative than car theft, the gang decided to go with it.

I must admit, I was a bit offended by the whole "Weevil rides the bus" thing. I know that it was important because of Neptune's social code and his whole "biker" thing, but seriously? I ride the bus, and yes I'm probably going to scarred for life, but it isn't all that terrible. But yeah, Awww pretty much sums it up. He's really adorable when he's all beaten up, have you noticed that?

I don't tink Big Dick ever said that to Beaver, but Beaver kind of extracted it. Honestly, I don't think it even occured to Big Dick to take Beaver. Looking back on...whatever episode it was that they went to the shooting range, it didn't seem like Bick Dick was snubbing Cassidy, but more like he kind of accidentally ignored him. I don't know, just my interpretation.

Oh, and I liked Jackie. It was kind of funny, I was thinking about Jackie today for some reason, and her hate of Jane Austen. Later today, I was joking with my English teacher about Jane Austen, which got me major points and an extension on an essay. Go Veronica Mars!

Yeah, but for him to be riding the bus is just as humiliating as it would be for Logan. So still, aaawwwwww, poor new inductee into woobiness :P

I am not the hugest Jane Austen fan myself (shock!) as am more of a Bronte girl, so the JA hate didn't bug me. Now that Jackie seems to be a bit more human, I like her much more.

Episode 2-12 Feedback

Awesome episode. Some twists in the two major cases this season.

Felix's murder-Weevil loses his wheels, loses his leadership, loses his gang, so he's now all alone, except for Logan and Veronica.

So Thumper killed Felix or knows who did, but Weevil can't call him on it, as Thumper has the video of Weevil beating the shit out of Curly Moran(the guy who beached with VM's name on his hand) on his phone.

Bus Crash-So Woody told his daughter, Gia, to go back to school from the stadium in the limo. And Jackie's dad, Terrence, is now the prime suspect. Hmmm........

Continuity galore= Stuff on a cell phone that people don't want seen("M.A.D."); Jane(the girl with the broken leg from "Driver Ed"); Sneaking into the evidence room to take audiotapes of the interrogations("Silence of the Lamb"); Wallace's dad; The deputy from last episode helping Veronica clearing Wallace's name. There's probably at least one other thing I've missed.

Best part of all: NO DUNCAN!!

This was from bluehyacinth's post on veronica_mars: I also found that I felt sorry for Molly, sitting alone at her table and with a murdered boyfriend she cannot mourn openly.

I agree with that. It is similiar to Weevil about Lilly's death. Weevil was in love with Lilly(whether Lilly reciprocated isn't the issue), yet couldn't mourn openly without being questioned.

Going back to last episode, where Weevil found that Felix was getting a tattoo with Molly's name, it was similiar to Weevil getting a tattoo with Lilly's name. I think someone else mentioned this, but I don't remember who did.
