I don't know who the writers are, but I have never seen a show so amazing at picking every shippy, angsty, funny kink I have and hitting it dead on.
OMG. This show is hitting my kinks dead center. Because he ends up carrying her to bed (she's had too much to drink and is passed out). EEEEE! And he almost touches her face as she is asleep but then slowly pulls his fingers back at the last minute. EEEEEEEE!!!! And then he says 'Han Ji-Eun, don't let me hurt you. Don't let me get you sick either. I can't even protect you.' And then he just sits there, looking at her and then he starts crying. I am dead. Thank you.
And then he decides to drive her away for her own good so he is being all tyranical in the morning and it's hilarious and then it gets really sad. I love this show. It can make me sniffle and giggle and then sniffle again in the space of five minutes.
And OMG. She is going to Venice with Min-Heuk and then we have Young-Jae running through the airport, yelling her name. And not finding her. Seriously. Kinks. Dead center. There were incoherent noises in my house.
And then he and HW are in a bar and he says he's always made JE only suffer. And HW lets him go (YES!!!!) and tells him she's known he's liked JE but she was so selfish she let her best friend suffer because she didn't want to be alone. And he is 'but JE's already left' and she tells him to wait for her. Finally, HW made a right decision. It only took 13 eps!
And then we have him coming home and finding what looks like Min-Heuk holding JE (in reality she is crying over YJ but he can't see that) and OMG. He is so devastated. Kinks. Dead center again. Now, enough with the angst. My poor shippy heart can't take it.
Seriously, when I said I wanted angst, you didn't have to take me up on it, TPTB, k? And the preview for ep 14 looks even more angsty. No, crying boys don't make me happy, it turns out, despite what I thought earlier. I lied. I want character happiness back. It seems I am a wimp. Now, get the OTP together quick before I expire.
