I can only guess that by kissing her he either means to make her "unmarrigeable" for a royal or he's staking a previous claim (along the lines of "we're already engaged/married"). We'll see how eveything shakes out.
The shooting schedule must be tight as hell because there wasn't a preview for episode 18 which is supposed to air today.
