Go go go go, awesome Diao Chan!
May. 16th, 2011 11:13 pm1. It kept bugging me where I have seen Xiao Qiao's actress before so I finally went to DramaWiki. She was the lead in the awful awful Summer x Summer with Joe Cheng. I liked her and Joe Cheng is always one of my favorites but that was an awful, awful, awful drama.
2. Ep 30 made me really and truly love Diao Chan. Alone out of all our mains, male or female, she has zero fighting skills. Even if you take the deadly guys out the equation, Shang Xiang is super-powerful, ditto for Da Qiao, and Xiao Qiao is really good with those fighting fans. But DC is basically a muggle, to borrow a Harry Potter term. When the gals go in to rescue the guys who are about to be executed by Dong Zhuo, they ask DC to stay behind because she can't fight. That's why it's all the more handcore when she shows up as demonized Lu Bu* (ugh, die already!!!) is about to kill DQ and SX as the bound Wu Hu Jiang et al can't do annything but watch. And she steps in front of Shang Xiang and Da Qiao who are about to be blasted to smithereens, because she'd be damned if she let's the bad guys kill Guan Yu and her friends, and if she can't stop it, she will die with them.
She is very ladylike but underneath it all, she's pure steel.
* There was a hint earlier she might have to get back together with Lu Bu as a bargaining chip at some point? Please no, I hate him, not to mention that would really eff up my OTP. Plus, having to put up with a whiny scumbag like Lu Bu is bad enough under any circumstances, but after having been with Guan Yu and seeing what a good guy is like, that's doubly horrid.
Those of you who are fed up by my K.O. 3an Guo posts, rejoice! I just finished ep 30. I can't get my hands on 31-32 and they are only available via torrents for now and I can't torrent, and eps 33-53 are not subbed yet.
Alas.
Of course, you do realize this means I am going to work backwards and start on The X-Family right?
