I adore Spring Waltz - Ep 12 was adorable! SW reminds me, oddly enough, of Save the Last Dance - the plots aren't similar or anything but it has the same gorgeous, tender, feel - a traditonal story done exceptionally well.

* She kissed his hand!

* It keeps amazing me how functional the OTP is - they talk things out! When he sleeps on her shoulder!!!!

* Evil Parents, seriously - if your kid has repeatedly indicated he would rather cut off and eat his ears than get engaged to crazy Secondary Girl, perhaps throwing a big engagement party and having him come there is not the brightest idea. Not being a gutless wonder like BOF's Jun Pyo, he might actually wreck the enterprise. You have only yourselves to blame. Oh, and Secondary Girl. When the guy told you he doesn't want to date you, to keep throwing yourself at him and get pissed he isn't interested and have his parents arrange an engagement despite his express wishes is a new record of patheticness. Seriously. If you love him, shouldn't you care about what he wants at least a little? And if not, get some self-respect: you are not malformed, you can get someone who likes ya.

(I also cheated and watched the ending - am GIDDY!!!)

I also feel like watching two huge (and hugely famous) weepies after I am done.

1. Autumn in my Heart (Autumn Tale). They are stepsiblings who used to think they are real siblings. Rocks fall, everybody dies. MV:

2. Stairway to Heaven. Childhood love, amnesia, evil families, terminal illness, and another emo pianist...

I am gonna be entertained...

Am through ep 15 of Spring Waltz and am glad to report that Secondary Girl has gone well and truly insane, an event happily predicted by me. YES. Now she is busy causing incredibly photogenic misery to the hero (mmmm...angst more, sexy one!). Scarily, I actually get where she is coming from and can see why she is acting the way she is. It's not reasonable, of course, but understandable - she is lashing out and he is the best and most convenient target. Her castle of dreams ended up just that and he is an impostor and her childhood love is dead etc etc - creating a "perfect Jae Ha" is the closest she can get to fulfilling her lifelong fixation. I don't hate her at all and still find her sympathetic. I do still think she should go after Crazy Evil Parents instead - that way I'd cheer her on and on and ON (I totally get sick every time I see them). The one thing I find irrational is her insistence that the real Jae Ha would not have fallen for Eun Young. Why? This Jae Ha fell for her without knowing they were actually childhood sweethearts and I hate to break it to Secondary Girl, but Eun Young has a fun personality and is prettier than 10 Secondary Girls put together.

The OTP continued to be gorgeous and compatible and oh-so-happy until the big reveal. The scene where Jae Ha sees Eun Young at the island and realizes she is his Eun-Young and turns away, trying his best and failing not to fall apart, burying his face in his hands and shaking, and she is so giddy to see him, running and hugging him from the back? EEEEEEEE! There is also adorable bycicle riding. But of course Jae Ha has finally achieved that epic nervous break-down he was heading for the entire drama because he feels so much love and guilt towards Eun-Young who he cannot reveal his true identity to for the justified fear she will hate him, not to mention his nasty identity crisis has reached critical mass, and Secondary Girl is making it all worse. I do love that he tried to push Eun-Young away but it was a sad little short-lived attempt that didn't work at all - he could not make it work (the scene with her hands in the door! Or umbrella!). Now he discovered his evil birth daddy is alive so I foresee the misery of ep 15 will be like nothing to what's to come.

Also, I am confused by the nightmare he keeps having - it's pretty clear it's evil birth daddy who stole EY's Mom's $$$ so why is Jae Ha the one taking it in the dream?

I am addicted to this. I am seriously considering dling the eps just for capping purposes.

And now the drama that has shot to my most anticipated list is Friend. I have no idea who the female leads (if any) are but the male leads are Hyun Bin (Snow Queen), Kim Min Jun (Damo) and Suh Do-Young (our hero in SW). It's like the trifecta of gorgeousness!

Now I must watch Black and White eps 9 and 10!
