No doubt, because of the traumatic news of BSG Season 3 being moved to October, I had a dream that I was watching Season Finale tonight. In RL, I put the breaks on my K/L tendencies because of self-preservation. I have no intention of being dragged too deeply into a ship which might never have anything. But clearly, my subconscious is a bigger K/L shipper than my awake self, because the whole dream revolved around Kara telling Lee that she knew he loved her and she loved him but there was no way she was going to get involved with him and get him hurt like she's done with everyone else. And then she flew off to meet Anders. Yeah, my subconscious is also clearly a bad fanfic writer.
In any event, in my dream, I was watching this on Saturday morning, for some reason, and was so excited I was running around the room and being impatient to wake up my sleeping husband (though being a considerate girl even in dreams, I didn't).
Oh, and I also had a Smallville dream (and I haven't even seen any eps since my slashy binge a few months back), where Lex and Clark were patrolling in the farm fields (why? who knows?) and Clark got annoyed with Lex suspecting him of Supermannishness and electrocuted him. As in "RIP Lex." And then caused a fake fire and a whole big set-up so no one would suspect him. It seems, in addition to being a rabit K/Ler, my subconscious doesn't like Clark. Well, on that point, the rest of me is in total agreement.
I have also realized that I haven't seen a Bollywood movie since Rang De Basanti (which was amazing, but was also a month or so back). Ahhh, RDB. Aamir is my least favorite of the "Three Khans" (I will watch anything with Sharukh like the pathetic fangirl that I am. Yes, I say that even after Anjaam. And I'll watch most anything with Salman as long as it's not slapstick.) Aamir? I can take or leave. He won't save a bad movie for me. But when he is in a good movie? Not much can beat it. RDB is added to Dil Chahta Hai, Rangeela and Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak as an Aamir movie I adore. But re: no Bollywood flicks. Nothing exciting is coming out though, and I've caught up on my backlog. I tried to get in to see a special showing of Deepa Mehta's Water on Saturday, but when I showed up 40 minutes early, the line was snaking for a mile or so, and they told me I had no chance of getting in. I guess I'll have to wait until it opens wide in April. Because come on? Social issues, women's rights AND a tragic love story? Plus John Abraham? That's a movie designed expressly for me. If you want to read an article/review of Water, go here and here.
Also, I've been slowly working through Rurouni Kenshin, and it's definitely LOVE. It's a steady fun kind of love, as I can't see myself marathonning the whole thing (for one thing, it's over 90 eps long!) but I have so much fun with each episodes. Highlights of recent viewing include Yahiko just hugging Kenshin and sobbing into him (because he was afraid Kenshin was going to be killed and it was his fault) and Kenshin not being mad but just gentle and holding the kid and I realize that Yahiko has found a father figure. Oh, and the bit where everyone was at the hot springs, and Kenshin was absent-mindedly thinking of potential opponent and so he got up and walked over to talk to the girls' side, not realizing that he was giving them more of the view than they wanted (well, except for Kaoru probably :P). And then he realized it...Heeeee. Oh, and everyone ganging up on the bratty kid who wanted Kenshin for an instructor (especially Yahiko, but Sano and Kaoru as well). Yesssss. I also get the vibe that Megumi is being sticky-sweet to Kenshin because she loves annoying Kaoru. So much love.
