I am speechless
Apr. 16th, 2011 09:55 pmThe awesome
ockoala has been posting trailers and other info about The Other Shore on her blog and the latest trailers are literally giving me the shakes.
If you have no idea what TOS is about, it's a Taiwanese-Mainland drama collaboration starring Vic Zhou as a Taiwanese doctor conscripted by the Japanese during WW2 and his journey to return home, as well as what happens afterwards.
Here is one of the trailers.
Doesn't it look beyond amazing?

Date: 2011-04-17 02:42 am (UTC)He has been living, breathing this character for over a year. I almost felt sick watching the trailer, feeling his pain, his anger, his frustration.
Feel free to post my translated dialogue as well. It hurts to watch this even more when you know what they are talking about. I hope someone subs this as it airs.

Date: 2011-04-18 08:46 am (UTC)the only bug in the ointment is that i would definitely preferred to listen to it in the Taiwanese language rather than the mandarin dubbing. i speak the tw langauge fluently, and agree with my mum that it just really feels so much more personal when it's in a language that you associate with your nan and your extended family and all their gathering, be it birthdays, marriages or funerals.
i for one, will definitely wait for the tw version to come out!
