Just finished ep 4 of Daemul. I love this drama so so very much. Don't mess it up, show.

Also, am I getting this straight? A senior politician thinks that fitting punishment for a prosecutor insisting on interviewing him about a corruption case, as per procedure, is to have that prosecutor stabbed to death in front of (the woman they wrongly think is) his girlfriend. WTF!!!!!! What would they have done to him if he'd charged the politician? Hung, drew, and quartered him?

Seriously. Eeek.



Killer kidnapped Hye Rim so he'd go and rescue her (Do Ya has no idea what's going on except that she is in distress at a particular location).












I love that he's the one who's been stabbed and is alive only through a fluke and he wants to make sure she is alright. As he is being stitched in a really unpleasant fashion. I approve.

Eeek, the screen ratio. It's my fault, I messed up trying to preserve HD & wide screen, when sticking with my original encoding settings would have done the job just fine. If you watch on GOM (and most players probably have similar options), there's a screen setting where you can switch btw 4:3 (TV) and 16:9 (HDTV). If you set it on 16:9/HDTV, should fix the skewed problem.

Or you can just play the whole ep. with softsubs, soompi has the latest release. Weee!

Isn't he just... ::sigh:: I thought ep. 3 was terrific (who'd have thought they'd give us bonding scenes so soon), but ep. 4 had so much goodness. And I loved how his face just broke into smiles watching him with his father (the waterside scene at night). The four of them made such a wonderful picture together. Helps DoYa's still a bit of a kid at heart himself. The unabashed gleeful dance at the airport... lolololol.

I think it's the humiliation more than the investigation itself that made them want to see him pay.

And doesn't miss her program because he knows how much it means to her. It's just unbelievable how much he loves her... She's worthy of such love, but the way she owns him is unbelievable.

I didn't know but apparently, not many anesthetists the further you get away from the big cities. It came up on DC because someone wondered if they just wanted to let female viewers see KSW in pain and sweating. :)

LOL see prev. comment, and so do I. It's like they have this checklist of 'what would we want to see from KSW' and they're going through item by item. By the end of the drama, I may just expire from all the hotness.

Re: revenge for humiliation. I get that, but then shouldn't they throw eggs at his house or maybe even beat him up. Death seems grossly disproportionate.

It IS disproportionate and unthinkable in this day & age in Korea, but the original manhwa itself is pretty gritty, and I guess they wanted some of that somewhere just to raise the stakes. I doubt it's going to be the last attempt on him or his loved ones. And now that HyeRim herself is entering politics... the harder they fight, the harder their enemies will try to break (not just stop) them.
