Still The Myth
Jun. 15th, 2010 11:52 pmHeeee. At one point this evening, Mr. Mousie threatened to take my laptop away because I was getting entirely shouty and irrational at my screen, watching The Myth.
Heeeeee.
But seriously, Xiao Yue, congrats on getting your husband to pardon two people who will get him and you killed in the future and who should just be put down anyway. Boooo. Xiang Yu should have just put up with sleeping on ancient China's equivalent of the couch for a while and didn't give in to her.
But awwww, Xiao Chuan/Yu Shu adorableness. Even if Xiao Chuan scares the crap out of me by now - he was so loathe to hurt anyone, even if it cost him his life, and even when he became a military person, he'd try to do least damage and be haunted by it, but now he is leading his battle armies in a bloody civil war ruthlessly and without a qualm and talking calmly of his bff killing 10,000 soldiers. He really has seen and suffered too much and snapped - he confessed much much earlier, in ep 16 (?) that he is willing to die for others but for Yu Shu he is willing to sacrifice others, and this is all the more true after all he's seen and done (and had done to him) - he is basically not going to let anything stop him from hanging on to his one happy thing.
I have to say that this drama should have been longer. Yes, I know, an odd thing to say about a 50-ep drama but they really summed up/skipped over a lot of the civil war that led to Qin's downfall and the Liu Bang/Xiong Yu rivalry. That's basically another 50 eps right there. Oh well.
