Saw Serenity: NO SPOILERS
Sep. 30th, 2005 02:44 amOh. My. God.
gfjuojfergjigo99v89n69ndfjsfkmxlmixkgx^&%Uhdijm9jfm!!!!!
I am in absolute and complete state of shock, awe and giddiness.
I don't remember the last time I was so absorbed into a movie, the last time a movie left me breathless, the last time I laughed one minute and cried the next, and felt that dread in the pit of your stomach so acutely and melted into puddle of goo so thoroughly, and grieved in one crazy, potent two-hour mixture.
It was like Firefly to the exponential of a 1000.
Oh, and the dialogue so sharp it could cut, and funny and moving and clever all at once. And the plot that is twisty and intelligent. And all the wonderful, wonderful WONDERFUL characters. I love Joss Whedon, I love the cast and crew of Serenity. I want to see it again right away, even though it's 2:40am in the morning and I have to be at work. And its still sinking in and I am nowhere near coherence but I am on this crazy, impossible high. Do I sound like a crazed fan? Well, maybe I am. Serenity made me into one.
It's the best movie ever. Well, maybe not, but it feels like it is.
P.S. Seriously, I am normally a spoiler whore, but I am beyond glad I saw this unspoiled. My midnight showing was jam-packed. And the audience was great: laughing, applauding, gasping and awwing throughout. I gasped and aughed and applauded and awwed my fair share, I admit.
