I just saw a bit of ep 15 of Worlds Within and OMG YES the ship I wanted and didn't think was going to happen came true! EEEE! That blunt famous director got together with that awesomely pushy novice actress he hired who became a star. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! I ship them SO HARD. The bit I saw was beyond adorable - her banning him from breaking up with her again without notice EEEE! (((ship)))

Also, do spoil me - what is the reason for Ji Oh breaking up with Jung Young later. I know his vision is going but from his rather incoherent explanation to Jung Young in 16 (yes, I spoiled myself) it wasn't the whole 'she is better off with someone unimpaired' - at least not wholly - he was saying he only had 6 months to direct left and thought he could do a good job and he wanted her Mom to like him, but what do either of those have to do with breaking up. Spoiiiiil! The way they resolved it was so beyond awesome though.

The reason is never truly explained and it's really for the viewer to decide. I don't know how much to say, since I thought you were much further in than you actually are but basically: pride, ambition, her mother, trying to be selfless, inferiority

I guess I should have made my question more specific - it's his 'I only had 6 months left to direct' thing that confused me which does relate to the ambition rationale - I get the pride, mother, selfless and inferiority reasons just fine. I don't really get the ambition part - his sight is going at the same rate regardless of whether he is dating JY or not - he will have the ability to work for just as long a time and do just as good as job in his remaining time whether he dated JY or not - so I really did not get that part.

About the ambition, I though he wanted to come back a better man with quantifiable success. I really don't remember him saying anything about 6 months so I can't help you there. Even more reason for a re-watch.
