is from some anonymous poster commenting on the Governor of Illinois corruption scandal.

This is clearly a blatant "racist" attack on Polish/Ukrainian-Americans. The anti-Slavic hate-mongers want to boil Blagojevich like a pierogi.

Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaa!

GIP!

Also, I need to find a way to work the phrase "boil him like a pierogi" into my everyday conversation.

I'm part Slavic and I'm totally going to use "boil him like a perogi" from now on. Hahah!
Also I am going to go eyeball those perogies I've got in the freazer because I feel hungry for them now. ;)

In American english, pierogi are vareniki (or pelmeni) not cakes, so I can see boiling them. I prefer them fried though. :)

Oh, thank you! In the UK the analong for the Russian word pierogi is pies, things you fry or bake that are made out of pastry, yeasty pastry for Russian version and crusty pasrty for Britich version (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pie), that have a filling inside (I am not sure but pies mean something else in America?) .

I like to fry pelmeni and vareniki after they are boiled too.
