Do I have to turn in my feminist badge?

Because my favorite scene in all of eps 10-11 was the scene with Myung Hun and Ji Hyun, you know the one.

Some people worry about liking Logan Echolls. Yeah, try liking a guy who has squads of goons vandalize poor people's homes in order to kick them out for his father's building project, institutes anti-riot measures that result in a little kid's death (I should have known when they introduced the cute little kid for no reason, that EoE was the kind of drama that would only do it in order for the kid to die painfully) and to top it all off, rapes the woman he loves.

Um, Yeah.

Yeah, but by 'liking' I don't mean I want Myung Hun to live happily ever after. No, I want him stabbed in the face (though if there ever was a character who had "suicide case" written all over him, it's MH). But the thing is, I really enjoy watching this actor: whenever he is on screen, things become more interesting. He is super-intense and somehow makes you remember the character's humanity even in his worst moments. And his worst moments are pretty bad, let's face it. So I want him to suffer hideously, but suffer on-screen. I want him to die, but not until near the end of the drama so I can keep on watching him. Does it makes sense? He is such a fascinating character.

So, yeah, I totally loved the MH/JH scene. The one where he sort-of kidnaps her and breaks down and begs her to stab him and then when she doesn't, he tries to hug her and when she yells for him to take his filthy hands off her, he drags her off to bed. And then, since it's Korean TV and not HBO, we don't see anything but we cut away to some time later and his sitting on the floor in this absolute stupor of despair. And his father calls and he says since he's done what his father wanted (re: housing riots) he wants to marry Ji Hyun (a. hello delusional. She hates you more now; b. if it was his dad, there wouldn't be a marriage proposal, there'd be five bucks payment if dad felt generous). To which Daddy barks it's no time to think of marriage and hangs up. MH looks around and sees her missing and he freaks goes running and calling her name and finds her in the bathtub and she has slit her wrists (which means there was something sharp there. Please do other characters a favor, JH, and try to stab the rapist first, before trying to kill yourself). Cue collapsing and screaming. Yeah, she is really going to love you now. Sicko! Die! But not for a while!

Moral of the story: MH, learn some impulse control, for God's sake! Self-loathing and agony of remorse is all well and good before you do something irretrievably vile.
JH: when the unhinged psycho offers you a knife, use it. On him. ASAP. Or if you are squeamish, try to calm him down, not escalate the situation. Haven't you realized he doesn't have a full collection of marbles? Oh, and then, later? Stab him in the neck!

It's interesting, because he can only do these sorts of things because JH is meek and damsely. I mean, mind boggles trying him to do something like that with Grace or Hyo-Rin. Either one would eviscerate him, literally, and not think twice, as soon as he offered them the knife.

I have to say, subbers at vikii are psychotically fast. Subs for 11 were out 12 hours after the ep ended. That's insane!

Also, DW and DC sibling love still rocks more than any other relationship on the show!

No, I haven't watched ep 11 yet. Just certain bits. Also, poor Dong Wook. I think it's his turn for hideous angst. Mmmmm...He is more attractive already! :P
