I am travelling, so this is going to be fairly quick.

(Arang and the Magistrate ep 16)

Love the parallel between EO trying to protect Arang from distress earlier and now. Even more I love than when she wants to see the dead anyway, he lets her go. EO is an incredibly amazing kdrama lead.

Seriously, the way he looks at her kills me. Girl, tell him you love him already. I know, solving of supernatural mysteries blah blah blah but it's not like you have infinite amounts of time here.

A rarity of rarities. A hero's father, in a period kdrama no less, who is compassionate, smart and a great Dad. Is the Apocalypse near? I do have to say I love his explanation to EO why his mother left. It may or may not be the truth, but it is the most compassionate, healing thing he can say under the circumstances.

Seriously, guys, get together already!

This was so awesome. EO protecting Arang from the monster who wears his mother's body (and who seems to be transfixed by Arang). Arang remembering how she died (Joo Wal makes me despise him more than ever. Either do not kill innocents for a demon or, at least, do them the courtesy of remembering them, as opposed to being a pathetic coward asking to have his memory wiped so he can enjoy peace. That explains a lot about him though).

I do wonder what EO's mom got out of the deal - Lord Choi seems to be living well after all.

Dad is great. No wonder EO is great...
Feel so sorry for JuWol. But yes, cowardise is the worse counselor.

Thank goodness we finally know how Lee Seo Rim died, is all I can say. I really wasn't expecting it to have happened like that (well, at least JW didn't stick the knife in her himself? Though that in no way makes up for all the other girls he did kill). Also, if he sees Mu Yeon moving between bodies, why was he so confused about what she really was/the different forms she took, last episode? Am I missing something?

I love that Arang is bucking so many kdrama tropes - feelings are actually acknowledged, the hero isn't an asshole in denial or a wimp, and all the dads we see/hear of except for Choi are not assholes (and he isn't really a dad anyway, compare to EO's dad and Seo Rim's, who actually pestered Evil Bastard Choi to let his daughter marry the boy she fell in love with at first sight).

I just really love how much they try to look out for each other, EO and Arang are now pretty near the top of my top 5 kdrama OTP list for sure.

(and on a side note, I legit loled at poor Bang Wool and her mortifying gossipy ghost ancestors)

I think he is confused about Muyeon because it might be one of the things he got memory-wiped.
