What's Up - I love it!

(I apologize for spamming - consider it a balance to dearth of posts in the last couple of weeks)

It's like feast or famine in the drama world.

For months, there was nothing remotely grabbing me, but all of a sudden I am deluged by dramas I am getting quite obsessed about.



One of these dramas is What's Up, a drama I've given up hope of ever seeing until cable rescued it.

I have only watched half of first ep before I decided I want to wait for subs (is anyone besides viki subbing this? I need softsubs, I loathe streaming), but I really liked what I saw. Im Ju Hwan is brilliant (but when isn't he?) as a street thief-hustler but I really like the rest of the cast too (a mix of actors and singers, but all doing a uniformly good job), the slightly grainy feel of the drama, and the character interactions. While I enjoyed both Dream High (until it lost me near the end) and Heartstrings, I think this has the potential of becoming my favorite 'bright musical talents in school' drama - not surprising with that writer.

The soundtrack is gorgeous.

I know 2 Big Bang [Daesung's idol group] fansites have joined together to sub this but they haven't released anything yet :(

I really dislike streaming on viki but sadly there's no other option right now...

I watched the first two episodes raw and while that is ok for some dramas, this isn't one of those. Hopefully softsubs materialise at some point... I really liked what I saw though.

FINALLY the drama is out. I never thought it would be released because of all the delays. Im Ju Hwan and the lead actress are wonderful actors and have seriously brought it in their projects.

I agree with everything you said. I watched the first epi raw and was all "must wait for subs" cause I love the whole feel of it. And can someone tell me the last time there was a drama with so many guys with deep voices. I was in heaven lol.

Mousiiiiiiiiiiiie! I'm watching episode 8 of "Me too, flower!" and I keep saying out loud "ooooooooohhhhhh Mousie is going to love this and that scene!". You'll be gushing more about it than you did with Gloria!
