After Woo Jin told off his father for being a bastard to his mother and stepmother, which I loved! Congrats, Daddy, you screwed up your son, he doesn't want to get married ever nor does he date because he is worried he will make the woman as miserable as his Daddy made his women (how lovely is it that WJ's reason is worry about making another unhappy, not making himself unhappy?)



He goes drinking and, by chance, Joo Mi is there. She tries to be unnoticed in embarassment but when she sees he leaves without taking his briefcase back, she follows to give it back. Only to see him pass out drunk on the grass. And she stays with him all night to make sure nothing happens to him. AWWWWWWWWWW! And then he wakes up, having no idea where he is or what is going on. His puzzlement at seeing her is so adorable and she explains (I love how she specifies she didn't look into his briefcase so he shouldn't worry). And then she runs off to go home before he can stammer out anything. Oh God, the chemistry and sweetness and cuteness (he has no experience with girls at all, does he?) I adore you guys sfm, I have no words! By now, I don't care what logic bends you have to do, drama, but it is not allowed for her mom to be his stepmom, especially since this would mean they would share a half-sibling and thus the angst and doom would be insane. They are going to have enough to deal with what with the age difference and his lack of social skills. I do not approve of misery for my darling OTP - it would be like kicking a puppy. This is the first and last time I am against fakecest. Don't you dare, drama! Send it over to Can't Lose or some other drama I am not watching.

I really like Woo Bin. His storyline with second heroine isn't that exciting but I like him.





I don't dislike the other otp but I don't care either - if their screentime got reduced to five mins per ep, I'd be OK with it.

Wait until you see what's in store for them in the next episodes! I'm completely crazy about this OTP. I've watched the first 8 episodes in row. At first I watched everything and didn't really mind (and even liked) the main OTP or other sotrylines but I soon started ffwding like mad to get to scenes about secondary OTP and scenes in which they're in individually.

Boy, that man is going to fall so hard...he'll never recover. I've seen the preview for episode 9 and and and...I want the episode NOW.

When I'm not so short on time I might watch the drama for something other than the secondray OTP but I've started to really not care about the main OTP ever since the ex came into the picture so I don't know.

And I'm afraid they're really going the route of the step-sibling thing. Oh the angst....it's not confirmed yet but it's heavily hinted at. OTOH, this is a 50 eps drama so we probably have loads of time before this comes into play. When I was watching Gloria, I knew imediately that Jin Joo would recover her memory at one point. It was heavily hinted at. Seeing how long it took for it to actually happen in Gloria, Woo Jin and Joo Min probably have plenty of time to be cute and adorable together before the big reveal. And it might also come to naught, à la You're Beautiful. Who knows?

I LOVE couples with an age difference and the issues they have to solve because of it. Family Honor left me midly frustrated on that front with Dan-ha's brother and his lady love. I liked them but I really felt that the age issue should have been more of a problem--him feeling insecure, fearing that one day she'd meet someone closer to her age and want to leave etc...We didn't really get any angst about it. They focused on something else.

So I hope the Woo Jin / Joo Mi pairing will give that to me. I can totally see Woo Jin angsting about the fact that Joo Mi should be with someone as bright and cheerful as she is, not an emotionally stunted older man like him. But he'll be too deeply in love and obsessed to let go. Angst...pretty angst...come to mama...

Well, I wouldn't mind the fakecest think on top of the age difference thing. I'm an angst junkie ^^. But a well handled age difference storyline would be plenty angsty enough as well. We'll see. I've just watched episode 9 RAW (well, actually only the 10 minutes in which JM and WJ were on screen) and things are moving MUCH faster than I'd expected for a 50 eps drama.

I think it probably will deal with the age thing.

I think they are, thankfully, as much of the main otp as the other one (which is ok but kinda boring). I have no idea how they will get rid of fakecest issues, especially since they share a sibling (no wonder they showed a clip from Miss Ripley at beginning).

I hope so! So far, JM/WJ have even less screentime than the cheating husband, the mistress and the awful mother in law. I think that netizens are crazy about the JM/WJ couple. The writers would be crazy not to jump onto that boat ASAP. That's why kdramas shoot as they air, to tweak the story if needs be. That's one instance where I'm all for liveshooting.

Watch DEFINITELY NEIGHBORS. I don't think it's that popular, but there's a pair in there that might just fit your criteria. Makes me really want to watch this drama now, but really can't handle it when I'm already watching The Princess Man and some housewife drama not even worth mentioning (and why am I watching it? because it's broadcasting. I need to watch broadcasted dramas so it makes my subscription worth paying for.)

If you're in it just for the JM/WJ relationship, I think it's very doable to watch this drama in addition to the other dramas you're following. They (unfortunately) only have 10-20% screentime at the moment. But if you intend to watch the whole thing, it's another matter.

Oh, I love this drama and this secondary OTP!! They really are the reason I watch. I mean, I like Heroine and Woo Bin and a lot of the other characters, but not much is going on with them. I mean, Heroine's husband, mother-in-law, and husband's skanky girlfriend need to gtfo - then Heroine, her son, and Woo Bin can become a nice little family.

This drama has made me fall in love with Kim So Eun all over again...there's something very natural about her acting, she just doesn't have to try to be cute...I've really missed her since 2009 since I couldn't be bothered with watching her long daily drama last year, I hope she can land a prime time drama lead role soon...I think a lot of the people(online) that I know are watching this show are mostly watching this because of this OTP, it's kinda really funny.... this random lurker is :) idk why since everyone seems to love the secondary otp the most. though I've only caught up to ep 4 so maybe my opinion will change. I just can't seem to get into their scenes. I think maybe it's cos I'm terribly bored with those scenes with woojin and his parents so that transfers over to woojin itself which transfers over to secondary otp. i prefer the main one because I like woobin, ehehe.

I might be biased...but I think this "secondary" OTP has much more fans than the so-called main one?! I sure hope the writers/pd-nim will find out, so they can get more than 10 minutes of screen time.

About the whole fakecest issue...although it's common in the kdrama world, this one (if the plot will go this way) is going to be REAL hard to take. I think it's because they will then share the same sister. Like I said on soompi, can you imagine being Soo-Ah? Yes, that's my brother and sister...and yes, they happened to be married...to each other...but it's NOT what you think, really!

Gosh! I'm so in love with this couple! Whoever thought of pairing them up should receive a bonus 'cause this pair rocks! I remain watching this show just for this OTP even if the drama will focus only on this pair for those 50 episodes I'll stick around for them! Their story is really interesting! It's not only about an older guy having a relationship with a younger woman but also about the awkward fauxcest situation that will happen. I'm not sure if I'm just imagining this or if it's too early to tell but I noticed that whenever there's more WJ-JM scenes in an episode that's when the episode rates a little bit higher compared to less WJ-JM ones.
I'll look forward for more of your Woo-Joo OTP posts! ^^

Yes, I really wish the drama would focus more on them. They are doing liveshoots, so they totally can change the proportions of the story.
