Twdrama heaven

Finished the first ep of Hayate the Combat Butler and it continued adorable, very sweet and oddly gentle throughout. I am utterly hooked. Only twdramas can make it feel so mangaish and so wonderful at the same time.
Also, does anyone else think Maria is the girl from his past that he was having that weird flashback to when he was unconscious? Despite his crush, I really am not shipping him with Maria and much prefer him with Park Shin Hye - they both have the same level of maturity while Maria is about 10x smarter and more grown-up than the both of them put together. I do wonder how PSH will react when she realizes he was yet another in a long line of people who wanted to kidnap her (yes, I care for the characters already, one ep in. That's a good sign).
In other news, I found a trailer for the upcoming Absolute Boyfriend with Jiro and Gu Hye Sun. Not the greatest quality video but good for my purposes. Am so very excited now, because unlike the jdrama (which should never be mentioned lest I get PTSD flashbacks and palpitations), this looks like it's got the manga story and vibe down pat. Plus, Jiro can do both sexy and goofy and while I am not a big fan of GHS, her kind of hyper, physical (over)acting seems very suited for manga adaptations of twdramaland. Can't wait!

I would watch Absolute Boyfriend, but I loathe Gu Hye Sun because of her performances in Boys Before Flowers and Pure 19. She tends to overact and just bugs me in general. Shame.

Re: GHS. I think she is the ultimate mugger but I think it will be fine in twdramaland. There are only two actresses on my 'never' list (Jang Nara and Lee Min Jung) and she's not not one of them.

Kim Sun Ah because of My Lovely Sam-Soon, it was the first thing I saw her in and I loathe her character in that. She seems like a great lady in real life and I know she's a great actress, but. . .I just can't stand her on my screen.
Jana Na Ra because she bugs me for reasons I don't understand. Plus the rumors about her family buying her way into the business put me off.
Koo Hye Sun because every drama I see her in. . .I end up wanting to hit her character. But, I wish her look as an author and as a director.
Nagasawa Masami because she was an alright actress when she was younger, but has become annoying and one note. I watched some films she was in when she was in her early teens, and she was just fine. But, when I watched some of her tv series, she was just. . .I could never like her characters. They always seem whiny and the same.

Oh, and I'm watching Jang Nara deliver a pretty solid performance in Baby-faced Beauty now. I think she's matured, and the role seems to suit her.

I was scarred by JN forever in My Love Patzzi :)

I rarely watch Mainland dramas since I'm not very much into historicals. A number of those I watched had an all-Mainland cast, which meant although they were dubbed, it was their own voices. Happy and Love Forever really threw me; I think I watched half of it on FF.
