dangermousie: (Young Warriors of the Yang Clan - Four)

Something I have craved for someone to point out to lunatic secondaries all my life

You know, whenever the secondaries go on these insane rants as to how on earth can hero/heroine prefer OTP to them. For once, just for once, I wanted the ranted-at person to point out to them that it's because secondaries are psycho! And look what I got!

Oh. trust Six to nail it. I felt like clapping. You are inferior because you are a murdering psycho, the end.

Seriously, Pan Daughter - you picked about the worst Yang to fall for and try to manipulate seeing that Six is the smartest and the most analytical. No way could he really fall for your traps and lies. I think the only brother as bad a target for her tricks would have been Four because of his cynicism and street-smarts, though after she tried to kill Princess Chai in front on Six because she didn't realize Six was there, even the dimmest, most unworldly guy would have found it hard to swallow her protestations of innocence. Ooops, indeed.

In other news, I am drowning in period dramas. I am actively watching 10. 10!!! (Romantic Red Rouge, Four Women Conflict, Legend of Condor Heroes 2008 rewatch, Three Kingdoms, Chinese Paladin 3, The Holy Pearl, Jade Palace Lock Heart, Young Warriors, Warriors of the Yang Clan, Heaven Sword 2009) plus an ever-growing number prepped for short list. It's insane.

I need a break. So rec me a chirpy romcom set in modern times. Korean, Chinese, Taiwanese, Japanese, do not care. I need it badly.

You ever watched The Accidental Couple? Hwang Jeong-Min and Kim Ah-Joong. I really loved it when it was aired even though most bloggers seems to give this drama a pass. The first few episodes was rather angsty (can fast forward here) but the show really gets going after the wedding. It's one of the rare few kdramas which gets better and better with each episode, with believable character growth and endearing characters who grows on you. I'll recommend it as a romcom.

I'll third Accidental Couple if you haven't seen it.

I'm currently rom-com-less having lapped up Sunny Happiness with a spoon;
Let's see, I'm watching - King Geunchogo; Duo; Crime Squad; Midas; Flames of Desire; 49 Days when it starts; and....Glee. I rewatched Hana Kimi because of the news it was being remade k-drama style and I needed something completely brainless to offset the FIYAH intensity. I'm gonna marathon some more FIYAH later this week, though. 8-)

Yeah, that was great. Normally it's "Because she is my epic true love!" "Yes, but...why?" "Because she is my love!" "So if she wasn't there..."

oh dear...10!? i thought i was bad!

i am currently watching Mute Wife (very old school drama where no subs can be had for love nor money i think), Chinese Paladin 3, chinese Iljimae, Detective Tanglang (kinda in 1940's i think), and Ady An's Yi Tian Tu Long Ji, am currently dl-ing RRR. I seem to have dropped Young Warriors, but will need to finish it off! Bad habit of mine! For RRR - i admit that i hunted down the bit where he's in his bed after having been beaten and the youngest daughter is there talking to him. OMG!MUSH!

as for rom-com, i would suggest Sunshine is A Happy Day or whatever english name it's got. So, so good!

I personally found That Fool/Accidental Couple absolutely dull. I sat through 6 episodes before I completely gave up on it. Part of it was because I found female lead so bland and lifeless that it irritated me. I mean, really; she loves this guy who values his political career (or something like that, I can't remember) too much to go official with her, so to save his reputation and wait until he can come and get her (Because he promised! He definitely would!), she talks the sweet main guy into being her husband for a while - apparently this is her idea of how to fend of rumours. And in the meantime she mopes and weeps - it isn't until the latter half of the drama that she improves. Bah.

You've probably seen this already, but I'm currently going back and looking for old dramas, and I'm really enjoying I Really, Really Like You. Lee Min Ki and Eugene are adorable.

I saw some of Himitsu No Hanazono awhile ago, and it's cute and fun! It's gonna be my next drama as soon as I can properly watch it after I settle some of my assessments.

I bumped into TWdrama Marry Me! (I need more MikeHe Hotness and lured by sth very shallow: http://youtu.be/CqKDz5bE2sg) Serendipity fansub is hardsubbing it.

I'm only on ep2, it's surprisingly not too OTT nor cartoonish, esp the OTP. How their relationship is developing is subtler with a dorama touch...nth much said/screamed out loud. Everything else is nth to write home about, but Mike, can do subtle and very at ease playing an idol has been/bump.
(I'm a spoilerphobe and not sure if I'll stick with it till the end, but I'm sensing a melodramatic doomed ending)

HEy!
This is a random question?
Maybe i should of wrote it on another post... eps where you asked for random questions?
BUT, what do i do, i am late.

OK my question, is do you ever dream of going back in to these periods, esp when your watching so many of them? =)

I did, when i was watching kim so roo!
I was like, what the heck, get me out of here, and started pounding on the door of a hut, i found my self, in only to be opened by kim soo roo himself..
Who trusted a sword in my hand and asked me to follow him to the practice grounds.

As excited I was to spare and learn sword fighting from the best of the best.
I stood, frozen in awe! Completely star stuck.

ONLy to have him shake me to wake up, and thats what i did. =(
IF only ... it lasted until i finished sparing.......
oh how romantic would that have been.

Have you finished "Love Buffet"? I don't know how quickly subs are coming out. I'm watching it raw and will post something about it later in the week.

My current go-to fluffy rom-com is "Down with Love" which aired about a year ago. If I'm feeling a bit down, I go back and watch an episode or two and I'm smiling again. Not sure if it's the drama or just seeing Jerry Yan. ^_^

What's even more amazing is that she didn't get it even after Six explained it to her.

I almost felt sorry for her when she was jumping off that cliff. She did a lot of evil things, and her reason for committing suicide was not completely altruistic either, but she wasn't evil enough to want to take revenge on Six/Princess Chai until Tian Ling suggested it.
