Various TV-related things

1. I have my hands on the Dollhouse Pilot. Am excited! Tahmoh and Eliza and, of course, Joss. How can it go wrong?

2. I forgot to mention that a couple weeks back, I checked out an ep of Legend of the Seeker, I think it was 1.08, the one with all the s&m (still way toned down from the book. I hated the book so much, not only did I not finish it, I threw it away instead of returning it and getting a refund, because I didn't want anyone else to stumble on it by mistake). While a vast improvement on the "novel", and with a male lead who is rather awesomely hot, the whole thing is just so...the dialogue, the plot, the acting! No. Just no. OK, I fully realize this is coming from the girl who tried watching a drama called Vampire Gigolo so I have no leg to stand on, but still...no.

3. Korea has clearly decided to branch out and adopt American TV:

Korean Gossip Girl:

Korean Twilight:

Korean Hugh Hefner's The Girls Next Door:

Awww, who am I kidding, it's Korea and they know what they do best:

Oh, how I love this scene!

2) I can't bear the thought of trying to watch the show because Wizard's First Rule, which I read when it was first published back in the nineties, traumatized me on about ten different levels. Worst book I ever actually finished (it was the trainwreckiness of it that kept me going) until I read Twilight last year.

Also, I have the first disc of that Vampire Gigolo thing here from Netflix because it sounded like the crackiest thing that ever cracked. I was hoping it would be so bad it's good, but now I'm not so sure!

Just HEARING about Goodkind's books were enough to make me swear to never touch anything related to them in a million years. *insert ranting about how decent fantasy goes largely unnoticed and it's only the generic junk that most people have ever heard of*

I was planning on checking out Legend of the Seeker because I've been seeing it everywhere lately but maybe I shouldn't. I mean, I couldn't even finish watching the last few eps of True Blood.

All the fake blood aside, I totally loved that scene. Jun Pyo better cry and angst like hell when he hears Jandi has to give up swimming from the hit she took for him (when I saw him ignoring her in the long previews, I died a little).

I've been really enjoying Legend of the Seeker but haven't managed to get into the books. It looks like this will be the first of a few fantasy novels adapted for television, which has me pretty damn excited :D

I... kind of want to see Korean Gossip Girl. o_O
