I am Legend - who will be Kim Sun Ah's leading man

Now that I am Legend has been rushed into production for a May broadcast, I keep wondering who they are going to cast as the male lead opposite Kim Sun Ah? This is such a rush job they don't really have the time to look around.

Unless they are going for a younger man storyline, their leading guy has to be over 30 and I can't think of anyone who'd fit.

People like Kang Ji Hwan (it would actually be pretty interesting to see them together), Gong Yoo, Song Seung Heon, Cha Seung Won, Kwon Sang Woo, Song Il Gook, Park Shi Hoo, Ji Sung etc are all either doing dramas now or will be doing dramas or movies shortly and thus can't take on another one. A whole bunch of actors who'd be suitable are in the army. I honestly can't think who is left. This is completely random but Park Yong Ha is age-appropriate and has no drama coming up. But other than him I can't come up with anyone. Maybe Lee Sung Jae or Park Shin Yang (but the latter is banned by the studios). Hmmm.

Guesses? Suggestions?

I am horribly curious.

Go Soo just finished a drama though. Also, I think he and KSA would be a really bad match - I try to picture them together and it just doesn't happen in my head.

I am not the hugest KSA fan and the story seems OK but not mind-blowing so it really depends who they get for a leading man, whether I'll watch it or not.

Most of the actors over 30 and available for dramas that I could think of didn't seem to work with Kim Sun Ah OR this kind of drama, anyway. I can't really see an actor with an image that's overly serious and melo at all, unless they're planning to have him play the straight man to Kim Sun Ah's crazy.

Re: KSA, yeah, neither. She sounds funny and awesome IRL, but I wouldn't go out of my way to watch anything with her in it unless I'm either drooling over her hot co-star, or in love with the story. I'm actually not impressed with the story either - what was it, female lawyer depressed in her marriage and work and decides to set herself free and go back to old rocker days? Eh.

And Jang Shin Young is in it, and she is terrible. I wanted to kill her the entire time during Rebirth - NEXT, and I was halfway through that awful "The Road Home" before I realized she's the main girl, who is a total bitch.

Yes - e.g. someone suggested So Ji Sub and even if he was available (though he is not) I cannot imagine Mr Intense and Super-Angsty in a typical KSA drama at all. How would that work? The genre is all wrong for him.

Not familiar with JSY but seems I am lucky.

Most 30-something single women dramas rub me the wrong way so we'll see if this will be one of the small number of exceptions.

I think it's insane they have 8-10 weeks till airing and still no leading man!

I bet SBS is kicking themselves over that stupid decision to push I Am Legend THAT far forward. I mean, we literally got news that KSA is in a new drama, and two days later SBS is like "GUESS WHAT GUYS WE'RE AIRING THAT IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS!" and everyone just went WTF.

Why on earth wouldn't they air Bad Guy, which is probably at least halfway to 3/4 done?! SBS was always idiotic, but this takes the cake. I think we can probably prepare ourselves for a weaker male lead, because it looks like they're just banking on KSA's name draw.

I honestly have NO idea why they did that. I like the thought of BG being fully completed before it airs - no rush and no last minute changes but from network perspective it's insane. I mean, unless they secretly got Jang Dong Gun to come back to dramas with this one (as if!) this makes no sense at all!
