Tonight's picspam? The doomed, gorgeous OTP of kdrama Tree of Heaven.

ToH was a ten-ep drama that came out a couple of years ago and ended up in my Top 5 (just click on the toh tag for my incoherent ravings). ToH stars Lee Wan and Park Shin Hye as stepsiblings (never fear, they are stepsiblings only for months) whose love is so, sooo doomed and sooo soooo pretty. Filmed in Japan, this is a story that subscribes to a belief that if you treat your traumatized, borderline-mute but hunky stepsibling well, he will glom onto you, but if you reject his love in a fit of temporary conformity, he will disappear and reappear five years later as an incredibly hot mobster.



In older, though not really happier days, they were schoolmates, and in love, but she was too afraid to deal with it so we got EMO:

Now, years pass, she is a maid in a hotel and a fancy suite has a rather odd guest. Could it be...







She is rather awesome.



He looks after her. Btw, clear drama makers believe joining the mob equals making a hot guy ten times hotter.

The whole 'I don't know you' thing he is doing for her protection.

And of course he can't stay away.











He takes her shopping and it's so hot when he unbuttons the top button of her blouse, it's ridiculous.

Ok, I adore this drama. It was just so perfect and the chemistry between the leads was beyond wonderful. I loved that they could bring that kind of passion to the screen without even doing anything beyond holding each other and forehead/cheek kisses.
