The relationship between the leads in Kimi wa Petto works really well for the show. It's not so much a dom/sub kind of thing as you would expect. He needs to be taken care of, and she needs someone to confide in, and their relationship deepens as the show goes on. Matsujun, playing "Momo," acts kind of like a helpless puppy, and Iwaya Sumire, played by Koyuki, treats him like one in a feeding/giving bathes (literally.)/snuggling kind of way. She's usually very cold; most men find her intimidating, and she can only open up to Momo, leading to a mutual dependence and an unconventional quasi-romance that's very different from the love stories in most shows. I can't say if you'll like it, but I certainly did. You should definitely give it a try though.
