I fell in love with Lawyers of Korea

*puts on her best 15-yr-old girl voice* Mingook oppa is sooooooooo hot.

LOL.

Sorry, but that has been my predominant thought through eps 6 and 7.

I am beginning to fall in love with Lawyers of Korea. And I am beginning to see long-term viability of Mingook/Woo, and not just because I have been hormonally afflicted.

For one, Mingook is learning but, for another, he and Ae Ri were such a bad match - he is incredibly abrasive and she is actually very fragile. And Mingook also is about the last person to whom one gives hints. Yet the way Woo deals with him - there are none of those problems - if she wants something, there are no hints - she will tell bluntly what it is she wants. Moreover, his brusqueness does not bother her at all - it doesn't even register. And the lady loves a good fight - she is a total HBIC - see the scene where he was so pissed-off and jealous and just stressed and threw money at her in a public place. Her reaction? An equivalent of a mental shrug because she knows he is acting out and not to take it to heart, standing up to him every bit and then she basically bullies him (I can't think of any other word) into kneeling at her feet in front of all his employees and picking it all up - she can shut down his tantrum faster than anything and it does not phase her but makes her roll her eyes. She is the clear boss of that confrontation or any situation with the two of them, really.

Take that ridiculous contract Mingook's Mom made Ae Ri sign - why on earth did Ae Ri not tell her where to stuff it and then talk to Mingook and tell him if he wants something this stupid, the marriage is off. That contract basically killed the marriage before it started and Mingook did not even know of its existence. Can you imagine Woo's reaction to Momster trying this? As if. She's tell her to get off and then Mingook would be in for a yelling session telling him to put his mother on a leash.

Lawyer Byun continues to be awesome - he is dying to protect a lady and Ae Ri needs protection. Please hook up and be my secondary OTP. I am biased as they were so star-crossed in Seoul 1945 and at least in this one there is no chance he will die in a labor camp. I do wish that, as he clearly wants Woo back, he freaking tell her why he went away. Seriously - how can she forgive you if she does not know your reason for leaving? Are you insane?

To conclude, a shippy MV:

ETA: Here are Byun and Ae Ri (or their actors :P) in Seoul 1945. Mmmm.
