Ooooooh
I find it interesting that his sis points out he's incapable of loving anyone outside the family. She's pretty correct even if this rule is breaking with Dan Ah (and he's terrified out of his wits that this is the case) and it makes me wonder why - he's clearly opeting in the world OK unlike the sister, but that sort of thing demonstrates a major dysfunction of his own, even if he can operate despite it. I wonder why, despite their money they are both very messed up. He did tell his parents to stop pushing his sis into normalcy and be satisfied by his being the ideal son, so is he compensating for her?
Also, I felt awful for Dan Ah, feeling guilty towards her dead husband for feeling one moment of happiness (honestly, I bet a lot of her refusing to let go even years after is guilt - he pretty much died to save her. It's not as if she knew him that well, it was arranged). Though her barriers are actually what makes him feel safe to come out. And because she believes it's all a game to him, she doesn't get spooked either, the way she would if she thought he was genuine.
Also, only in a kdrama would it be romantic for a dude to say "you remind me of my sister." LOLOL.
Mmm, love their dysfunction.

And the way he looks at her when he thinks she doesn't notice.

So adorable!

They are such an awesome secondary OTP!

Man, both of them need so much therapy.
Also, peeked into my downloads and ep 24 promises me this.

Yup, he's all tormented by his hopeless lurve for lady who buried her heart in the grave.

Yup, it took me a long while to warm up to them as an otp but now I am addicted.
Can you spoil me for three things though? Pretty please?
1. Is there some sort of trauma in the past that makes KS and his sis freaks?
2. Does he ever find out that college guy is dead ringer for DA's hubby?
3. Is there a reason he took her childhood pic back in ep 2 other than curiousity?
I don't need details, a yes/no would totally do.

2. Yes he did. I believed DA told him herself, after KS's persistent questioning.
3. Yes/No. I think at first, he took it because he was curious, but I honestly think he was infatuated with her from that day onwards. After that, he kept it because he always imagined what life would be like if he had met her then (as in when DA was 10).
some answers

I'm @ ep 31 one (I see at least 15 more episodes of aaanggst, I think my head will explode soon). FH has more or less taken over my life now. You are such bad influence, Mousie!
Re: some answers
LOL, I probably would have gotten to it if it wasn't for husband, baby, and the need to sleep.
Re: n2. It's official, Kang Suk is weird :P The family's offspring seem to share a trait for secretly stealing stuff from object of crush :P

It took me the longest time to warm up to the guy but now I like him so bring on the misery!

2. Ooooooh. Yay!
3. That's...kinda awesome (and I agree, he was fixated on her since the funeral). Aldo, clearly he and his sis are related, what with hoarding objects stolen from their crush :P At least no moldy cake in this instance :)

(Anonymous) 2011-08-12 03:51 pm (UTC)(link)I like this drama also because it gives you a crash course on social history of Korea and you realize how much the young generation (Kang Suk's) is world appart from the old one (his parent's)
