The heroine was super upper class, married to BFF of Ivan the Terrible so yes, she'd eat meat diet with meat dessert :) But instead she was literally going "I can't eat this rabbit stew because it's too cruel they are so pretty." Ugh. I remember very little about the book (I think it was a reincarnation story?) except for this.
