I narrowed my choice of lakorns to watch to the following:

1. Current front runner is Thara Himalaya. In TK, heroine discovers nameless homeless guy and being a kind person takes him in to work on her farm. Love blossoms and then one day it turns out that her nameless helper is nobody other than the crown prince of a fictional kingdom suffering under the beloved drama disease of amnesia. Be kind to the sexy homeless, clearly! It's the front runner because I am a total sucker for the "girl rescues amnesia victim who follows her like a puppy and turns out to be someone super-important" due to my obsession with Save the Last Dance. Also, the leading man is super-hot: I thought so even when he was playing repulsive torturer-rapist hero in Defendant of Love, but as I doubt they let even fictional royals do bad stuff, not to mention there is no revenge on horizon, this looks blessedly rape-free. Plus it has a pretty MV:

2. I am also dying to watch Jai Rao because it looks uber-shippy and angsty and delicious. And the story looks about 100% up my alley. Eight years ago, the heroine left hero, her then-boyfriend, without warning or explanation and broke his heart. Now it's eight years later, he is a famous star, she has reappeared and hires herself as his assistant. He tries to hate her but can't stop loving her. Cue shippiness and angst! It doesn't look as if there is rape (please warn me if I am mistaken - I don't want to get 10 eps in and then find out he expresses his unhappiness with her past conduct via a felony), plus I watched the last 10 minutes and loved it to bits in a 'I want to sob and sob' way. Only thing stopping me from putting it as n1 is that is has A Moment to Remember (kmovie) ending and that made me cry pretty badly after I invested merely 2 hours into it. Still, I am pretty sure I will watch it. MV:

3. I am also morbidly curious about Borisud Bumbut Kaen recommended by [livejournal.com profile] gerryg7 because I looked up the synopsis and oh my - heroine gets amnesia twice (!!!), hero is facially disfigured for part of it and has plastic surgery for purposes of revenge for another part, heroine is sort of responsible for death of hero's wife who was cheating on hero with heroine's fiance, there are poisonings, etc. But I think I will work to that one slowly, for my own sanity.

ETA: Just started Jai Rao. Am 10 minutes in only but I already really like it. It is, actually, the first lakorn I seem to enjoy. Hooray and hope it lasts!

ETA2: Yummy yummy leading man speaks wonderful English. After having to endure horrifying mangling of the English language by Korean actors who are supposedly playing English-proficient characters, you have no idea what a huge plus point this is.
