Also have been reading more on plot and, OK, this makes more sense. Apparently, MW's mission is to marry the Hallyu star and make him defect to North Korea. I thought it was kidnapping and was wondering why she wasn't just whipping out chloroform.

This said, even if you fall for a girl totally, and she looks like Han Ye Seul, and knows every position in the kama sutra, AND you are kinda dim, like the hero, you'd still have to have a complete psychotic break to defect to North Korea, so good-luck, heroine!

I found character descriptions - they are hilarious )

DB posted that MBC is considering extending Miss Ripley, from 16 eps to 20, mainly to give its upcoming sageuk Gyebaek (which I am pre-obsessed about) more time.

Normally I'd be pretty against it (rare is the extention which doesn't make the quality go down - Hong Gil Dong, Queen of Reversals and...and...and???) but I think MR may be one of those rare ones. I always thought 16 eps was too short to develop everything properly, and 20 sounds about right. Am I crazy?

Not caring about
The black disorder of my hair
I lay prostrate;
I ache with the loss
Of he who was first to caress it.

A poem by Izumi Shikibu, from 11th century, quoted in a section on Heian-era Kyoto, from John Dougill's Kyoto: A cultural history.

It may be completely ironic, coming from me, the ultimate spoilerfile, but pls pls pls put City Hunter spoilers under cut, oh darling flist, at least for 24 hours after airing.

This is the first drama I am trying to stay unspoiled for since...ever and trying to skim flist quickly enough not to see uncut info is really really hard, especially when there are multiple uncut entries on CH on flist!

I don't mean to sound passive-agressive or over-entitled because everyone is entitled to run their lj any way they want, but I don't think I have enough willpower to stay off flist after the ep until I've watched it (though I will try, starting now), so please take pity on me, lovely darling flisties!

It has been brought to my attention that I am not so good about not posting spoilers outside cuts and, having taken a look at the last few months' entries, that is pretty much true.

Apologies for anyone I have inadvertently spoiled. My excuse, such as it is, is that I tend to go only on what people post - i.e. if nobody on my flist posts about a particular drama, I assume nobody is watching it, or if all people who post about a particular drama have posted indicating they have seen the ep, I assume it means everyone has seen it. Which is obviously absurd as plenty of people watch without making immediate (or any) post. Anyway, it's all excuses etc etc etc and I am very sincerely sorry.

Anyway, new spoiler policy (you may thwap me if I violate it):

Any airing dramas/shows/etc - caps/written spoilers under cut, unless it's something so vague as to be nonspoilery (i.e. General comment like "this ep was angsty/good/bad" or general cap of protagonist from any ep but last one - I mean a cap of Jung Yong Hwa if I post on ep 3 of Heartstrings is OK, otoh if his character goes berserk and slaughters half the campus, cap of him with a dripping bloody knife not OK).

Dramas/shows/movies/book series that have been completed - major spoilers (written and cappy) under the cut unless they are well-known in the fandom, the rest whichever in may be (unless I know an unspoiled spoilerphobe is watching something in particular, in which case rules for airing dramas apply).

Once again, apologies, and feel free to tell me off when I violate these rules.
