it really is a toss-up between FirstLove and ToadHusband whom i detest more! You are right, FirstLove doesnt love her at all, he loves some construct he has of her, something completely unrealistic. And in so many ways, I think he is just the worst, even more unforgivable than ToadHusband. To repay some debt, he's more than happy to sacrifice LanYan, just so he can feel better about himself. Yah, right... and he's supposed to be morally upright, a good man, a hero, cleaning up the undesirables in the area? Don't make me laugh. At least with the husband, LanYan has never had any doubts about the kind of person he is.
