Am traveling today so no chance to watch (or even get) Faith ep 17. I am going crazy here.

But spoil me and I will lock you in a room with Deok Heung and his paper collection. :)

While waiting for our plane to take off (punctuality is clearly not the strong suit of this airline), I discovered Thermae Romae on the little seat screen - a Japanese comedy in which Abe Hiroshi plays a Roman bathhouse architect who travels through space and time to end up in a Japanese onsen.

It's hilarious!

Plus, where else are you going to hear ancient Romans speaking Japanese?

I am going to be away for a long weekend, visiting family (yay!) and am not bringing my laptop with me so as to leave more room for bonding, thus posting status will be iffy.

To compensate, I leave you with this:

Who doesn't want a handsome period general to carry us off? Well, perhaps not to a grim and blood-soaked past but to a nice hotel, sure.

Mr Mousie and I are going on vacation the last week of August (his amazing parents will be caring for Baby Mousie).

One of our two finalists for the place we are likely to go to is Taiwan (the other is Scotland, but as I've been there before, I don't have questions on that one).

First - weather. Guidebooks tell me it's fine but I want to confirm (we plan to go to Taipei and do some side trips but we are not planning to go to outer islands). Also, are typhoons are big risk at that time of year?

Also, how easy is it to get around when you have no Chinese (both of us are very self-sufficient and good with maps - Mr Mousie is a map genius - so we won't need to ask things on a regular basis but occasionally it might be good).

Oh, and finally - what are the cool things to do and see? And stay at?

So excited. We considered Korea but the books said the weather is awful.

I am travelling in the next few days so not sure how much posting I will be doing (must post on Gaksital), so have a few presents:

and

With Bridal Mask looking set to be my favorite drama of 2012, it's clear that (a) Joo Won is three-for-three as far as awesome dramas I get obsessed with and fall for his character in are concerned and (b) he's replaced Lee Min Ho (I still love you, LMH!) as my n1 kdrama crush.

We are making plans for our next vacation and among places we are considering are Taiwan and South Korea, two places I am sure a number of my flisties are eminently familiar with.

So, when's a good time to go to those? I think Korea might be too cold before the end of April. Is it nice in the summer or May? How about Taiwan - is summer too hot? Also, while I have a pretty decent idea of what I'd do for a week in Taiwan, despite years of kdramas, I have no idea what there is to do in Korea for a week - can you give me some suggestions? Is Seoul cool? Where else could/should we go?

Oh, and how easily can we get around these places with beyond rudimentary Korean and no Chinese? We got around Japan and Thailand just fine with some phrasebooks and good maps and those places aren't really English-proficient, but are Korea and Taiwan harder?

Help, oh mighty flisties! :)

So, what did I miss?? Any dramas worth watching? How is Man of Honor? Tree with Deep Roots? Something else I should be watching?

Am currently fighting sleep deprivation by watching Veer, which is the most chesetastic awesome Bollywood thing ever.

Also, by checking out Don 2 trailer:

I really enjoyed the first one and it's a total treat to see (a) a Bollywood movie whose protagonist is a sociopath (talk about different) and (b) SRK returning to his bad guy roots. It is, after all, how he started out before he became a megastar and lover supreme.

Oh, and I want him and Priyanka's character please please please have hot hatesex. Kthanks.
