Later in the week, I am actually contemplating going to watch One Night with the King. No, it's not about a lucky fanbrat who had a brief encounter with Elvis.

It's an indie movie that tells the story of Queen Esther and her marriage to Xerxes (there is an earlier 1950s movie dealing with the same topic, starring Joan Collins and Richard Egan). It's also an indie so it's unlikely most people here heard of it. By 'indie' I mean it's a movie made for religious people or family-friendly, or whatever.

Now, I am hardly a religious fundamentalist but I am a sucker for an Ancient Epic, made by whoever and for whatever reason, unless it involves graphic depictions of gruesome torture and no plot *ahemPassionoftheChristahem*

But this? Shiny armor, cool dresses and some wholesome OTP? Sounds goooood.

As an added bonus, it has Mr. Gaius Baltar aka James Callis play another bad guy: Haman the Amalekite. But no slinky blondes around this time, I am afraid.
