If Shi Won/Yoon Jae isn't going to happen, I am Joon Hee/Yoon Jae all the way - this scene killed me:

The look on Joon Hee's face when the oblivious Yoon Jae is hugging him like that! I feel awful for Joon Hee because he has zero chance of his affection being returned - things look grim for Yoon Jae because Shi Won sees him only a a friend, but at least they share a sexual orientation. No matter what, Yoon Jae isn't going to be anything but straight so there is no chance for Joon Hee at all.

And you know what makes it super-delicious? Yoon Jae totally thinks Joon Hee likes Shi Won and is wildly jealous of them together:

Oh, kids! I just want to feed you all and pat you on the head and say everything will be OK.

Note: I won't be able to post about ep 8 until Monday as we are going to the beach. I won't even have a chance to watch it until then. But come hell or high water, I am going to talk about the wonderful ep 7.

Caps and thoughts here )

And I am dead serious, you guys. Sorry, Dan, I adore you and all, but after ep 7, I have switched to being firmly on Kang To/Shunji ship. I mean! They ride the same bike and hold each other and cry! Shunji says things like "If something bad happens to you, how can I live?" Kang To holds on until he can faint into Shunji's arms!

Caps of the scene that made me a shipper )

Oh, and they are best friends who are also sworn enemies because Kang To as Bridal Mask killed Shunji's older brother and Shunji did his best to kill Bridal Mask, not knowing it's Kang To. Oh, and Shunji's older brother killed Kang To's mother. So basically they are gorgeous, angsty, and the best kind of doomed with the 'best friends yet sworn enemies' combo. With swords and hand-to-hand combat! And they have way more interactions than Kang To/Dan OR Shunji/Dan.

So very sorry, Dan! I rarely slash but I think I've stumbled on one of my rare exceptions.

Yes, Gaksital has made me a slasher.

Proper post on ep 7 with thoughts and caps coming when I am a bit less tired.

I was a bad bad girl and peeked at some spoilers (quasi-incidentally) and apparently cut for spoilers through current aired eps )

My current watching list Here )

Also, I know Joo Won was slated to play secondary guy in Moon That Embraces the Sun, i.e., the role which went to Jung Il Woo. People are saying he dropped out in order to take the lead in the upcoming Bridal Mask, and while that would be understandable (lead >>> supporting), how on earth did anyone, Joo Won included, think he was going to be able to be in Moon? Even if we leave Ojakgyo's eight-ep extension aside, the drama is still airing and would have been airing for 3 more weeks even without the extension. Moon is airing too. Granted, they are doing childhood parts in Moon now, but the adult stuff is slated to air (let alone start filming) before Ojakgyo's even-unextended scheduled end-date. There is no way the same actor can be a lead in one drama and a main (one of three mains) in another, without bending the laws of time and space. So I think Moon would have always been a wash-out. I mean, there is no earthly way.

In other upcoming drama news, I am mightily amused there is still not a peep about a leading lady for Shut Up: Flower Boy Band. I am kinda hoping for utter wall-to-wall slash at this point because it's frankly insane they have no gal lead cast if they plan to have one at all. Heh, I might even tune in, at this rate.

Continuing my 'fave scenes' Ouran pic spam.

Is this the slashiest thing or what? I remember Kyouya/Tamaki slashers being numerous back in the manga days so I am sure that made them v.v. happy :P (Yes, in context, it's about something else, but I was still amused). I mean, Tamaki does refer to himself and Kyouya as Father and Mother :) The slash writes itself.

Am working through my drama backlog. Next up Gisaeng (where I am hugely behind) and 49 Days, but for now, I am up through ep 5 of CYHMH, which is all that has been subbed, and I crave more more more more. It's Gloria meets Baker King meets East of Eden meets Spring Waltz. In other words = I love.

Hwang Jung Eum seems to make a career of playing cheerful and indomitable girls with missing siblings who heal screwed up chaebol hotties with evil fathers and major issues through sheer tough and spirited awesomeness, warmth and common sense. Yes pls.

A few caps from ep 5 of CYHMH plus a MV )

I have also continued with my watch of Will It Snow For Christmas and this scene may be the single most romantic drama scene I've seen in years:

Scene here )

I am also continuing with Three Kingdoms. It is ridiculously pretty.

If it has a running theme, it's not struggles of power or battles - it's guys seemingly obsessed with sharing beds with other guys :)

See what I am talking about )
