There's a part of me that agrees with your sentiment, the part of me that just wants peace and serenity for his soul and heart and body.

But raises the question of 'what about Eun-Gi', would it be easier on her too if they could start with a clean slate, assuming she 'forgives' him... I don't think she's about to go vengeful on him anyway, despite the 'scary' ending. Because if it's a parallel to what took place in Japan, then the parallel has to extend to Maru's inability to "use" her in the end.

All I know is that I really, REALLY wouldn't want to be in Lee Kyung-Hee's shoes right now.
