While waiting for our plane to take off (punctuality is clearly not the strong suit of this airline), I discovered Thermae Romae on the little seat screen - a Japanese comedy in which Abe Hiroshi plays a Roman bathhouse architect who travels through space and time to end up in a Japanese onsen.

It's hilarious!

Plus, where else are you going to hear ancient Romans speaking Japanese?

In time travel, everyone speaks the same language as you.

BTW: did you hear that Song Hye Gyo and Jo In Sung may be staring in a drama together later this year?

LOL true.

I am so excited if this happens - JIS is a huge crush.

I'm not sure which part of this excites me more - a *Japanese* "Roman" bath architect, or the fact that he's played by *Abe Hiroshi* (seriously, I'd probably just watch a show that consisted of him reading the newspaper ;-).

I'm pretty sure that was a drama and a movie...I cannot quite remember though because I've seen too much of Abe's work.

Favorite remains Trick...I love Nakama Yukie too after all LOL

well i dare say it is no more weird than romans walking around speaking english with a british accent but it is probably alot funnier for a westerner to see XD If I can find this I will watch it. Abe Hiroshi does great with comedy (I assume this is at least somewhat humorous?) and also seeing him decked out in roman garb will be truly hysterical.
