Loved ep 14 but am sooooo mad at Do Jin! WTF is with not giving Yi Soo a choice whether your 'horrible past' (which must be a cultural thing because to me it wouldn't even be a blip) is something she can or can't deal with. She is 30+, not dewy 17! Please allow her to exercise her own volition and judgment! GRRRRR. Look, I love the 'noble idiot' thing but only when by doing so, the doer prevents awful harm to the other party (to use the writer's other drama as an example, I get when Ra Im breaks Joo Won's heart so brutally because if she doesn't make him leave her, his mother will take everything away from him - and even there I thought she should have explained everything but at least I get her logic and am not mad at her). It's not as if someone is going to break Yi Soo's legs if she stays with Do Jin or she is going to get ostracized by society. I mean - who outside their immediate circle is even going to know? It's not as if someone is going to stop by Do Jin's house with a brand sometime next week to plant a giant "A" on his face. Seriously.

I loved it when she lit into him because she has every right and I do NOT want her to try to get him to change his mind (which luckily she doesn't look like she wants to do) - the man broke through her walls and trust issues only to break her heart! I hope he has plenty of time to experience full well what it's like to be without her and has to work to win her back! Meanwhile she can help Dong Hyub (who is awesome) to get his life on track.

I loved Tae San and Yi Soo's friendship in this ep btw. Oh, and Colin's actor is gorgeous and a wonderful singer but he cannot act which is a huge problem - instead of coming across as someone seeking the truth of his heritage, he gives off a (surely unintentional) sociopath vibe. I get terrified he is going to start dismembering small animals any time he conveys 'news' with a blank stare.

Proper post and caps coming but wanted to get the rant out.

My goodness, I am beyond obsessed with this drama. Have a shippy MV which pretty much summarizes the theater of dysfunction that is Kang To/Mok Dan:

And a more general one:

Also, this BTS is beyond adorable:

I am both wildly happy that we get 16 more episode of this wonderfulness and am miserable I can't binge on these eps all at once.

It's clearly a Faith kind of day, as not just a teaser is out, official posters of our leads are too. Sadly, I can't read Korean, so I do not know what they say, but the visuals are gorgeous enough, right, ladies? :)

Faith is about a surgeon who ends up traveling back in time to a very turbulent period and meeting a hunky warrior (so sort of like Outlander, only hopefully minus raping and actually good). Also, my best friend is a surgeon - I should ask her if she's met any hunky armored generals lately. If I knew that was an occupational possibility, I wouldn't have chosen another profession!

Is that a red string of fate I see? :)

More posters here )

I've seen fandom rather divided on whether Kim Hee Sun is too old to star opposite Lee Min Ho - they have an almost 11-year difference. (Though honestly, seeing that she was signed up on the project ages before he was, surely it should be whether he is too young to costar opposite her). I think they look just fine together, but you know me - I love polls!

Apologies - these are from 720p raws but I forgot to deselect the '640x360' limit on the photobucket upload, so they are not as large as usual...I'd have probably reuploaded, but I am still steaming at Do Jin :)

I have caught up with the latest INR2012 eps (how I am managing to keep up with 5 airing dramas, I'll never know) and as always, quite a delight.

The thing is, the more this goes on, the more I don't see their viability as a couple despite their chemistry and feelings - she is a little clingy and temperamental but it's not really her fault I see this never working out.

He is where the problem is - it's very clear he loves her, but he is maddeningly non-verbal and non-communicative about either his feelings (bad enough) or his expectations (fatal to a relationship). Sure, he doesn't like her pushing - then maybe articulate what it is he would like, and how he sees whatever relationship they have? (Not to mention she won't be as clingy if she knew where she stood). Reading between the lines gets exhausting, especially since she's not privy to the things we see as the audience (such as him buying up all of her pictures). I mean, she tells and asks him point-blank and still gets no response. Who wants to bare your heart to no reaction? The way he is right now, I don't think he can have a functional relationship with any woman, really. I can't say I am enthused about heroine with secondary guy either because there is little chemistry and he's so bland.

This was the coolest break-up ever though:

Serves you right. If I were her, I'd do a sex tape with Guy N2 and mail it to him.

I am all caught up on Doctor Jin and it's gotten quite good by now, with the political intrigue, and the question of who Young Rae is (she can't be some sort of backward reincarnation of Mina, but how does she have Mina's memories as they are from the future?), but you know what I really love? The love triangle. Normally I am quite allergic to the trope but here it actually works because both Jin and Kyung Tak genuinely love Young Rae and put her well-being first. Jin treats her with respect and as an equal, unheard of in these times, but it's Kyung Tak's behavior that really strikes me - however questionable his morals overall (though he's still head and shoulders above his creepy family), there is no question he is a wonderful fiance to Young Rae - he doesn't hold her breaking off with him against her, he rescues her repeatedly, and he even lets an unrelated man (and potential love rival) examine Young Rae for breast cancer, alone (because if he came with her, she'd be embarrassed). In 19th century!

Anywho, I want Jin to get Mina and KT to get YR...

So, who do you prefer?
